Here I am at the Pumpkin Patch with my son and my grand daughter. Although the stick is a tad bit uncomfortable and I have a yellowish hue to my complexion I am thrilled to have lost weight.

My grand daughter Hope loves her 'bouncy seat gym'. She discovers something new each time. In this photo she has just made 'Mr. Frog' move - all on her own - and she is amazed at what she has accomplished.

During summer weekends the green shuttered window is wide open and all sorts of cool summer drinks are sold.

I love the weathered wood.

The top shot is not edited. I then washed the entire shot with a red tint. It made me think of a blazing sunset or a nuclear disaster movie.

This sky was right before yet another one of our many storms. I see so many stories in these clouds. Plus I love dark skies, the drama is delicious.

This little guy hangs out on my kitchen window - on the outside thankfully - He sits there for a bit, often turning in a circle. Then he backs his way off the window and disappears into the siding.

I love his little legs, especially the one that is always curved. I decided he was waving to me.

I was looking at this scene while waiting for traffic to clear. I pass this house a lot but the spiffy red car is new. I was thinking how nice it would be to have that house and car when I noticed that the traffic signal appeared to be telling me something.

This building is in the same town as the Ice Cream Parlour featured in the post below. Madison, NJ is about an hour north of me. I was there for an appointment and of course I had the camera with me.

The street was very busy since it was lunch time and one of the corners was closed for landscaping so it was hard to get all the angles I wanted but I did my best to convey a sense of the structure.

Mid Week Blues: Some People are Respect Handicapped

I was at the store the other day and watched a woman and her two daughters (I assume they were hers since they were as obnoxious as she was) cut off a van with a handicapped parking permit in order to get the clearly marked spot.

The elderly lady in the van looked as if she were about to cry. I pointed to my car a few spots down and told her she could take my spot, it was next to the cart return and there would be plenty of room to off load her husband's wheelchair.

As I returned from moving my car down she noticed my cane. I had to laugh at the expression on her face. It was part laugh, part horror and part divine wonder. She saw me laughing and she and her husband started to laugh too. She said I shouldn't have given up my spot. I said it was no big deal and asked if they wanted to help me key the car in the handicapped spot. The three of us were laughing out loud as we walked/limped/wheeled toward the store entrance just in time for a patrol car to enter the lot. The officer immediately noticed the wheelchair and asked if we needed help. We pointed to the offending car and watched in pure joy as he got out and began to write the ticket. When I told him how they had cut off the van he decided to wait for the driver.

As we entered the store we saw the terrible trio leaving and we watched the scene from the store window. I did color commentary LOL

The Mom was gesturing and acting indignant. I did see one of the daughters say she was sorry so there's a little bit of hope there.

The last thing the driver saw as she backed out of the spot she wasn't supposed to be in was the 3 of us - the man in the wheelchair smiling, his wife waving and me giving a salute with my cane.

I confess that I'm like a child when it comes to fire trucks. My son used to go nuts whenever he saw one - he'd scream out "Friar Fruck" - at one point it also sounded like something else but we'll just let that go.

I came out of an appointment to find this Friar Fruck parked right behind my car. It was photograpy heaven!
