Hope had a snow day during one of our non-stop storms and she got to help Daddy clean up.
She was thrilled!
Daddy was a little less thrilled with the snow
Hope follows Daddy everywhere but she knows the end of the driveway is as far as she can go unless someone is holding her hand
She took a seat until Daddy was done with his dangerous in the street work.
I asked her if she knew who Miley Cryus was and she said she did. She likes the wrecking ball song. I asked if she was imitating Miley and she said "No way, I'm too little to act like that"
"Nana! Daddy is making me carry all the heavy stuff!"
"Just kidding"
Daddy admitted that having Hope as a helper makes the clean-up much better
I posted some pics of the cats over at The Other Blog

Before Christmas ...
... might be a good time to share some photos from Thanksgiving.
My brother held Athena very carefully
Hope and Aunt Lauren, my niece and Hope's GodMother.
Aunt Lauren will be marrying Dan next year. Hope said "he doesn't make believe he's listening to me, he really listens to me."
Cousin Gabriel follows Hope everywhere. He's just a year old so steps are still a challenge.
Now and then Hope feels the need to ignore Gabriel.
Athena and Hope with their Uncle Michael. Micheal is Gabriel's Dad.
Athena took to her swing when she'd had enough.
And On We Go ...

Little Wonder Women
Athena and Hope had a fun Halloween
Hope promises to not eat any candy before noon and to only have two pieces a day.
We hope you had a fun Halloween too
Flashing Nana the peace sign
Even Wonder Woman can't tame that hair

Hope Is Four
It's been a long time folks. Miss you all. Have not been well but I do want to share some happy.
Here are some photos from Hope's 4th Birthday. She turned 4 on July 3.
Wonder Woman is her favorite super hero
Playing with her friend Regan after a long time in the pool
Cousin Gabriel is adorable
A quiet moment with Luke, usually they are chasing each other and pinching and then complaining
She always gets shy when everyone is singing Happy Birthday
The next morning we played Fairy and the Not Nice Queen
This is what an annoyed fairy looks like
But all was good in the end
Hope has big news - she will be a big sister in late September/Early October. She's excited about this.
Love you all

Longest TimeOut Ever!
That's what my granddaughter Hope called it when Siren and Isadora were restricted to "their room".
Whenever there are a lot of people in the house or if the doors are opened and closed often it's safer for the cats to be contained. Siren is anxious about everything and Isadora brings a whole new meaning to curiosity.
During Hurricane Sandy they spent more time in there than usual since it was dark and there were generator cords everywhere.
Hope was concerned. They would paw at the door and cry to her. She sang to them and told them stories.
She would mumble as I passed - "this is the longest timeout ever!"
The screen door was originally installed when Siren came to us with all his wild aggressive behavior. It's a great way to keep animals restricted to an area while allowing them to feel part of the scene.

The Truth About Bugs Bunny
My granddaughter Hope noticed this bunny venturing out of a wooded area near the bank.
We approached as quietly as a 3 year old can manage. Bunny started out and Hope squealed so bunny turned back. In the last shot bunny gave us a "look"
On the way home Hope mentioned that all the real bunnies she sees are small and close to the grass yet Bugs Bunny is tall and walks around like a person. I was about to explain that in cartoons things can be different when Hope summed it up for me.
"Nana! I don't think Bugs is a bunny. He's a man dressed up like a bunny who got turned into a cartoon!"
