Ruby Tuesday: Cause Ya Gotta Have Friends

My FanTTastic friend TT sent me a package last week.

It was such a delightful surprise that I have to share.

And it’s full of red.

Starting with the writing on the card

When I opened the cardboard box I was met with an avalanche of packing peanuts. The cats loved it!! Mia spent hours trying to get a static cling peanut off her butt. Every time she swished her tail the peanut flew up and landed back on her butt.

This red box peeked out through the peanuts.

Each gift was wrapped in white tissue paper and each one had a sweet or funny note attached.

I got:
Tissues
A mug
A heart bracelet
Hot cocoa mix
There was lots of chocolate but that didn’t make it to the photo session.
A sweet keepsake box

The mug even advertised itself as Ruby Tuesday Ready!!

Even empty the box is gorgeous and I’ll cherish it forever

Thank You TT

I also want to thank our Ruby Tuesday host.

MARY honored me with these 2 awards for doing what I couldn’t imagine not doing.
Being her friend.

Mary is one of the fairest people I know. She is intelligent and calm. Her posts are always interesting and they enrich the reader.

Seems a few people couldn’t see that
Their loss

All I did was let Mary know the obvious. She is wonderful – through and through.

Thank You Mary!

Finally – please go by my FORKS OFF THE MOMENT blog and check out plans for sharing Election Day together at my place and a virtual celebration of our democratic process at DIANE M’S PLACE.

What a wonderful warming parcel to get - in so many ways!

I particularly like the last pic with the radial blur effect. Very effective!

Sorry I haven't been over much. I've been up to my ears in shoe boxes! All is expalined on my blog. I hope normal serviuce will be resumed soon. I have been dropping by, but as it's at work I am unable to comment. Loviing this new blog of yours though :)

Hi Dianne,
seems like you have been richly blessed with gifts and awards.
It is a heartwarming experience to be valuated that way. Than you for sharing your joy with us.
I also had a good laugh over the Mia slideshow.
She's really something.

That's such a kind and thoughtful gift.. as was your sharing it with us (except for the chocolate!). I could SO imagine your cat trying to rid herself of the clingy peanut.. too funny. :)

What a lovely gift! Surprise gifts are the best:) And the peanut-cat-butt thing was hilarious, one of those moments one realize television is superfluos...;) Have a good RT with your new bestest mug!

Great photos for Ruby Tuesday, Dianne. Enjoy your day.

Is it snowing there?

Dianne said...

felisol - it is wonderful to have good friends, thank you :)
and Mia says thanks as well, she enjoys being a character

hilary - It was fun to share, so many pretty reds. Mia was hilarious and Siren was priceless as he sat there just staring at her in disbelief.

pia - you're so right. Mia was hours of entertainment. I hated to end it but she was going to eat styrofoam. I have to look into nerf toys!

pink - me too!!! I need to get a video camera. My little Kodak has vid option but it's disastrous to operate. If I had a video I would have vlogged opening the package!!

Dianne said...

patti - it is snowing here - hard! kids are just getting out of school and their faces are delightful to see.
would you believe I picked today as my first day out since the cast came off!?
what is wrong with me?
never mind - don't answer that ;)

OH, without even trying I did manage to get some 'Ruby Tuesday' red on my blog today. I had forgotten, as usual, but luckily a couple of my pics have some red in them by accident. Hey, that works too though, right? lol

Happy Diwali!
Celebrating the light within you. :)

I wish I could have controlled myself long enough to get the camera cause the chocolates were something else lol

Oh..how sweet..Isn't it amazing how touched we are when someone thinks of us. My best buddy here gave me a small potted plant when we had coffee and I teared up..She knew it's been a difficult time and it was so sweet.

On a light note..isn't a packing peanut on a cat fun? My two will eat them so I can't let them play with them anymore. Yes, I did say eat them...Michelle

How thoughtful of Mary to send you something that you could use for Ruby Tuesday! That's a true friend. That doesn't even count the contents. No one deserves it more! :)

How nice all these gifts, you were spoiled, lol !
for the 4th I only wish that all Americans don't choose the wrong man like 8 years ago ! Here in Europe we are all for Obama !

Terry said...

Dear Dianne...You know a gift like that card is a real treasure. All those people who think that they are real lucky if they win the lottery are not as rich as you Dianne who have so many friends. What can ever compare to the riches of having family and friends! Even "invisible friends" Dianne that you have from the internet!

That is so funny about Mia! Oh it would have been fun to see. Why didn't you take her picture or perhaps you did? Ha!! A little video would have been just fine!!

A great brown treasure chest, its top laden with gifts and good news notes from a far country!
Oh just priceless!
What happened to those chocolates?
Did that naughty Mia gobble them all up?

Dianne, you are so right about Mary T. I just don't know why it took me so long to listen to Felisol abut joining Ruby Tuesday sooner. She is the greatest and I know that it take so much work on her part. I really don't know how she does it!
Look at me. I am always running late!!
Late in coming here and wishing you a Happy belated Ruby Tuesday!
Thank you for you visit to my blog.
One of these frosty Fridays, I am going to have a little time maybe to put you on my favourite links!!!
Love Terry

don't worry about links, my sidebar is so out of date!! I bookmark people and then never get around to adding.
I'm thrilled that you joined RT and yes - Mary is the best.
Mia never got near the chocolate LOL - it was all me!!

me ann - exactly!! thoughfulness counts for so much! kindness is precious.
