Oh, that's lovely! Lord knows I wish we had enough sunlight to cast some shadows so maybe I could catch one or two myself. Doesn't seem likely after checking the weather report!

bob-cat - thanks!! I adore those candle holders :)

mary - it was a wonderful sight. and I was thrilled that my camera was with me, usually it's downstairs and I don't know that I would have made the trip lol

magiceye - thank you ...

sylvia - Friday and Saturday were amazing days. In the 40s and sunny. My son was even inspired to do all the outside decorations for Christmas which he hates to do. It was funny - within a half hour of Jeff being out there everyone was out LOL
I'll share some shots of the house later in the month - I'm trying not to get sick of Christmas before it gets here ;)

What gorgeous shadows that you get to wake up to in your bedroom! I love the reflections of your candles, they are just gorgeous! This Shadow Shot meme is so much fun and I'm learning so much for everyone. Thanks for this lesson too! I'm paying so much more attention to everything now!!

I love this kind of shadow that throws patterns on my wall. It is so transitory, yet can enter without knocking and peek into dark corners without even asking. Very nice!

Glad I found your blog. I love the shadows that sun creates especially when it shines through trees. hugs, Catherine

This is a beautiful shot. It invites you in to investigate further. For instance, I immediately am drawn to the book waiting to be read and wonder what the title is.

Dianne said...

hot fudge - thank you! it is Rosie O's first book 'Find Me'.

Wow, that made a pretty picture! I bet it would look good in B&W too.

linda - thanks!!

Very -- very -- cool shot. The angles, light/shadow... I love it.

(Did you try it in black and white? Just curious. I bet it would be even more compelling.)

MyMaracas said...

Gorgeous. Great light and shadows, and somehow melancholy.

Dianne said...

mojo - I did try it in B&W, it's posted on 'the world in black & white' - link on my sidebar
it's OK - I like the color better

myMaracas - yes, I see the melancholy too - thanks :)
