Camera Critters: Mia's Morning Ritual

I don't think it's a secret that cats are creatures of habit and ritual - let's be honest, we're all animal lovers - cats are insane.

Mia loves to join me in the basement office each morning. Being a cat she has little patience for human needs - like coffee - and the moment I open the door to the kitchen she's ready. Look how she tries to stay out of the way ...

She can't believe the basement door is still closed so she stalks it ...

Then she tries to will it open ...

Finally she get the idea that coffee comes first and she settles in on her rug ...

Wait! Why are you going that way!! What the hell is going on ...

Mia hates the mornings when I work upstairs on the laptop - she's always giving it dirty looks ...

When all else fails she goes back to bed and waits for me to get my act together ...

There are so many wonderful animals and animal people here on the Internet Tubes. Take some time and visit CAMERA CRITTERS

All adorable photos. I love her sleeping house. Mine are happier with a box or bag then what we buy for them.
Have a great week

I know how she feels. I hate it when my routine is off too.

This is a great story!! Mia certainly is very expressive and not shy about letting you know what she thinks.

LOL and you are right about them being a tiny bit weird (I have to watch my words, they are looking over my shoulder as I'm typing)...
Beautiful cat!

"Then she tries to will it open ..." put a huge smile on my face - thanks!! How adorable!!

My cats rule the mornings here - there's no way I can have breakfast first without ending up with tails in my face :)

Great "story in photos".

Hi Dianne! Ain't that the truth that they are creatures of habit. Change the routine and it's dirty looks for the rest of the day. Tail flicks when walking away. 'What? Were you talking to me?' looks. Ah the fun.

Seriously, Mia has grown into a very beautiful kitty. Lisa

norm - thanks :)

carletta - thanks!! I love that blanket, I found it at PetSmart

manz - that's my favorite photo!! she does that all the time - just stares at stuff waiting for it to be the way she wants it

lisa - isn't it funny how they can hold a grudge lol
we're having another breakthru here tonight - Mia and Siren are both sitting in the same room - at the same time!!
no hissing or growling - just some dirty looks and then they both look at me

You capture feline insanity so well. Cats are indeed nuts. Yet they keep me sane. Go figure. Great shots and narrative, Dianne.

lisachaos -I think dogs and cats have a lot in common, especially when it comes to manipulating us :)

ice pony - she is very soft :)
she weighs about 7 pounds and most of it is fur

So true !! and my Lisa when she sees a closed door she would scratch until it fall s to pieces, that's why all our doors in the house are open, lol !

Mia is a lovely cat, and you are right about them being creatures of habit. Our cat Onyx is the same way. Thanks for your kind comments on my blog!

magiceye - thanks so much, Mia loves sharing her day ;)

gattina - I'm lucky - Mia doesn't scratch the doors, she just stares them down lol

adrienne - they are funny aren't they? ;)

Awwww... she is so sweet and has come so far. Tara Grace's big thing is crunchies. She lives with eternal hope and is not swayed by frequent disappointment from her faith that she will get more any moment now.

Mia has come so far in such a short time. Wonderful to see.

How fun to see these photos and learn more about your kitty. She's a QT for sure. I played LATE at Small Reflections ... publishing on Monday as I did with Shadow Shots at Sacred Ruminations.
Hugs and blessings,

How did I miss this post!?! It is so adorable! And Mia is looking so healthy! How well I remember those first few weeks when you realized how sick she really was. Or was it an excuse to visit the sexy vet? ;) LOL Anyway, it's good to see her looking so well. :)
