"Signs, signs, everywhere are signs ..."

Now I've got that song stuck in my head after looking at all of your red signs!

As a mom of four young kids, I've seen those first two signs many, MANY times. :)

What a wonderful selection of red signs.

Because of Ruby Tuesday I am soooo aware of how many signs have RED on them. Nice collection!

That's kind of an odd place to put a stop sign... unless that's a gate in front of it that just happens to be open at the moment. Even so, seems like it'd be hard to see it.

ellen - and I found more! I shot all of those yesterday. I kept 'seeing red' lol

yen - Happy RT to you too!!

linda - don't you hate when that happens! sorry ;)

patti - I knew if I didn't post last night I might not get to it - isn't it funny how RT has become Monday eve ;)

rambling - and yet there were more! ;)

raven - I wish I could have gotten the focal point of the Stop sign to be wider but my software and talent need upgrades lol
whenever I made it bigger it bled into the background
but it is fun to experiment and learn
thanks :)

angie - I bet you have!! I usually go to the grocery in the AM and I really enjoy all the babies :)
although I'm sure the Moms would rather be somewhere else.
I've also noticed these cool seat cushion things - they go into the cart seat and create a cloud of softness and support - plus the carts that are like little cars - they never had cool stuff like that when my son was a baby!

m.kate - thanks - I try to mix it up

carletta - thank you!!

magiceye - thanks :)

Catherine - LOL - I don't believe the first one either - and my checkbook has the proof :)
Happy New Year!

napaboaniya - thanks :)

ilanadavita - thank you!!

your EG - RT and other photo projects have made me so aware of everything around me - one of the reasons I love blogging and photography

Dianne said...

mojo - it is a gate that was open - the gate separates a public parking area from an authorized personnel only area - I shot it because I love how the sign looks behind the gate

A fabulous set of RED signs!

Terry said...

Ha Dianne...The best sign here is that Stop sign. I mean how in tarnation would somebody NOT obey this sign, eh?

I was up so late last night trying to teach that Siren how to dance that I never had time to Ruby Tuesday it but will be doing it now!...Love Terry

The sad thing about the whole thing is that I don't even know how to dance!!..Poor Siren!

Red everywhere!! You did find a stack of them and they're great! I've been so housebound because of the weather I couldn't even go look. Thanks for sharing, always enjoy whatever you do!

Quite a collection you got there! I like the supermarket cart one. I feel like I stare at that every day.

The first one is a bit of an oxymoron, yes? ;-)

I need to pay more attention to the themes that Mary has been suggesting. Red is such a good color for capturing signs. You collected some good ones.

Gattina said...

The first two pictures are really funny, I have to look next time I shop if there are signs in ours too, lol !

Jientje said...

You made great pictures with ordinary everyday things!! Very well done!

storyteller said...

Isn't it amazing how many red signs exist all around us? You found things I see every day without paying attention to them at all. Thanks for visiting mine at Happily Retired Gal!
Hugs and blessings,

Dianne said...

haleyhughes - the themes are just suggestions - and I loved your photo of Thor and Liko (did I get that right?) - they are adorable

gattina - the baby seat warning is pretty standard - the price sign has recently been added - I guess they think if they say it enough we'll believe them

jientje - that is one of the coolest compliments I've gotten - it's at the heart of what I try to do - thanks so much!!

storyteller - the gift of photography - making us sit up and take notice :)
