Sunday Shots: Straight Out and Shadowed

I thought I'd stay at the marina - see Camera Critters below - and share these for STRAIGHT OUT OF the CAMERA and SHADOW SHOTS

All I did to this one is crop it at the bottom to spare you any more views of bird poop than necessary.

I love the lines in these photos.

All wonderful, Dianne. Love all the reflections. I think that's one of the reasons I'm drawn to water shots.

Great shots, Di. I too love the black and white one. But they're all good.

Great lines! Great shots!

SOOC always takes me by surprise. Except for a little cropping sometimes, almost all of my shots are straight out of the camera. I used to sharpen them a little sometimes, especially older pictures, but that doesn't work on my present program. I love straight shots like these.

Love your shots! and thanks for eliminating the extra bird poop! I've had enough of that lately! The top photo is perfect.

thanks for your great shots, what is to the right in the last one? It looks very interesting to the bird :) It looks like the bird is leaning to the left to get a better view of something, the shadows behind him are great too :)

The first two look very "postcardy". :)

Hmmm, hard to pick a fave. I love the close up shots the best, I think!

I do like the shadows under the dock--and the lines.

You know...we love them all, but we'd have to say the last one is our favorite - the lines are great, of course, but the depth really shows with the color!
Thanks for the great shot!!

Very cool shots, I love piers, wish there were more in Iowa. Thanks for sharing.

These are lovely shots as are the seagulls down below. I've always had a soft spot in my heart for seagulls. Those guys must have been chilly. It is all snow here.

I have to get out and about more with my camera. I was just saying to hubs the other day that I love the look of bare trees against the sky. You pics on the post below are really nice. And we've got a small lake nearby filled with ducks and alot of geese hangout not too far too.
Your pics are a good inspiration!

My favorite is the top one..thanks for cropping bird poop out of the pix. Very considerate of ya. ;-)

Dianne said...

patti - you're welcome! I try to create a poop free blog ;)

All 3 of these are wonderful and I like the lines too. It's not easy to take a photo near the water like this and NOT get poop somewhere (sometimes even on your person). It's part of life in such places ;--)
Hugs and blessings,
