This statue sits in the middle of a small memorial garden by the bay. There are plaques for President Kennedy, for the victims of the attacks on 9/11, for local firefighters and police officers and for those we lost to war.
On this day the statue's shadow was as strong as the men and women it honors.

Oh well spotted. I haven't done enough shadow shots on my blog. Mind you we hardly seem to have any days where the sun emerges from behind the clouds, maybe that's why!
By the way, I'm just now reading a book by Helene Hanff, "The Duchess of Bloomsbury Street". She's really reminding me of you (in a good way!).
A great shadow shot and I love the statue for its meaning as well as your description below your last photo. Very nice post.
What a great idea for Shadow Shot. You do come up with great ones.
