Camera Critters: Last Bird of the Bunch

There is a row of small bushes along the drive-thru lane of our local McDonalds. It's quite popular with the birds since there is always something dropping out of someone's bag for them to feast upon. As I turned the curve in the lane all the little birds took off out of the last bush - or so I thought.

This little guy stayed - and posed for me.

I wonder why some birds don't mind posing while most are skittish. This one is very cute. ;-) Nice photo!

How 'kewl' was that? Birds in my neighborhood seem too skittish to pose ... probably because of the cats on the prowl ;--)
Hugs and blessings,

I think he just wanted to be a star and he knew that if he stayed, he'd end up with his picture posted in the blogosphere!

He looks so handsome posed in the flowers. It's very complimentary to his coloring.

I love this picture. I am reading this novel called Guide to Birds of East Africa and find myself looking for birds around me as well.

Did you feed him a french fry? :)

What a pretty little bird. Unfortunately, a little dove had a fatal collision with the window at work. Poor little guy.

I've been under the weather for a couple of weeks. I'm trying to make it back out of the shadows, but I'm not fully re-acclimated to the blogosphere. Catch you later chickadee. ;)

What a great capture, Dianne! This little guy is posing just for you.
You must have been pleased you had your camera. With my luck I'd see such a shot and the camera would be at home.
