Ruby Tuesday: The Playground

I passed this deserted playground one recent rainy morning and figured it was a perfect time to take some photos.

Everyone has mountains to climb ...

We should all have an exit strategy ...

Gotham City ...

I've never seen one of those - that is just too cute!
I loved the phrasing of words you used with each image.

My post is here: Carletta’s Captures.

This is the real deal, the Emerald City for kids. Children truly work for a living at play, and this offers fun sliding and climbing. Unlike when I was little in Queens, at least the hard asphalt of my youth with soft materials that don't scrape when the inevitablef all off the bars happens!

Gosh, I could have gotten lost in that thing for days when I was a kid. Instead I got into quite enough trouble with metal pipes bolted and welded together over concrete. It's a wonder that any of us lived though it. LOL :)

I didn't get to enjoy such fun slides and outdoor play equipment when I was a kid. I lived in the village and I climbed trees. :D

Now that's my kind of playground! I don't think I have ever seen a mountain like that one.

How cute, a mini rock wall. I love how they build these play areas with so much color. Kids these days don't realize how nice they have it... I remember wooden teeter-totters with splinters, swings with squeaky chains, and metal sliding boards too hot to handle in the summer sun.

How unusual to find a deserted playground this time of year. The colours make them so inviting.

I think in a few years you'll be sitting on a bench in the playground watching the grand!

This looks like fun.

This looks like a neat playscape. I also had the welded metal pipes (jungle gym) over asphalt, like Cherie described.
It is a wonder we all survived. And those little metal tricycles...no plastic vehicles for us!
