Summer Stock Sunday: The Ride

Back when I was younger and stronger (last summer) I volunteered for a youth mentoring group. We took the kids to a local amusement park.

I was thrilled to be event photographer, it kept me off the rides.

The kids had a great day. A child's laughter wafting through the air on a beautiful summer day is bliss.

I would never take a ride on this - yes I know - I never had a coaster ride either - too chicken - look at it - it does look scary high!

Great capture - the shot has a terrific sense of movement (and terror!).

I can't believe I actually used to ride these things when I was a teenager. Not for all the money in the world would I get on there now...

I would never get on that thing!! Our small town fair is coming at the end of July. I can't wait because I love taking pictures there.

Oh my word! I'd want to be the event photographer, too -- just seeing the picture makes my stomach churn :-).

Pharoah's Fury? Indeed.

Definitely summery! There was a time when I would have loved to ride that thing.

Great job. My son would love that ride. I would absolutely hate it, even watching it. My stomach turns upside down just thinking about amusement park rides. You captured it well!

I'd like this ride. I see a grandparent there, sans the grandchild.
Thanks for your visit and nice comment. I am thinking of using the poem piece for my other blog soon. I am glad you liked the garden. I have a lot of pictures of it.

Oh, I love this photo. So perfect in every way: color, focus, composition. And I'm with you, better to hear and see the bliss of the kids than to go on the rides yourself.

I do appreciate your visit although I am sometimes slow in returning the visit. Thank you for your comment!

MARVELOUS perspective and colors! Methinks the only way I'd enjoy such a place these days is with camera in hand ;--)
Hugs and blessings,
