Sepia Scenes: Aren't They Lovely

I was going through some old photos and found these two. I took them at my cousin's wedding a couple of years ago.

The first is one of the flower girls in the hotel lobby. She was waiting for the bride by counting tiles.

The second is one of the guests. I love the way she's standing. She reminded me of a Coco Chanel model. Totally oblivious to how very lovely and graceful she is.

Sepia seems to show their mindset as they wait for the festivities to begin. This monochrome also makes the beautiful tiles stand out by softening the other colors that allow a non-distracting view of the classic motif of the stunning lobby!

Quite lovely, especially when you click the pic to see them full size. :)

It is nice not to be distracted by color. You can consentrate on the subject.

Love the pensive poses.

Very special and pretty pictures.
In can't tell why, but sepia seem to bring forward a spirit in the pictures, that color would have removed.

Hi!
Great Sepia Shots! I like that first one best! Using your imagination to figure out the colors is great! Have a great day!

Very lovely, and sepia makes them even more special.

The only words that come to mind here are "classic elegance" and the sepia makes them even more so.

I have always said that the best pics are ones that are entirely unposed - you have proved that with this lovely shots.
I'd love to see that first one alongside her own wedding portrait one day. That would be fabulous.
I so agree that the second little lady is lovely. Again, a portrait of her in that pose at an older age juxtaposed with this one - super.
Great shots Dianne!!

These remind me of John Singer Sargent's Daughters of Edward Boit
