SEPIA SCENES

The hooks seem to be spinning around the pole. It seems to be alive and in motion, maybe it is the misty view that surrounds the fixture. Almost like a dancer, the hooks feel as if they are in motion...An artistic view!

I agree with Ralph. Its almost as if those arms are flailing around. I also agree it is the softening around the edges that gives it that impression. Nice tones.

I really do envy people who can turn an everyday object into art.
Great job.

I really like the sepia color in this photo, Dianne - Not too dark & not too light! Very cool

That's one beautiful shot.
Opens possibilities for a lot of accompanying stories :)

I like these old bentwood styles. This and a rockingchair are pure comfort and nostalgia.

Oh I love this .. two reasons .. I am liking how you isolated the focus (picnik.com?) AND I had one of these for a long long long time .. and then one day it just fell apart! I miss it .. do you keep umbrellas in the lower part?

I too think the hooks are spinning. Very creative and different subject. Thanks for sharing.

THANKS EVERYONE!!
I was trying to make an ordinary object into something artsy fartsy and your comments have really encouraged me - thanks!!

Daryl - this is in my doctor's office - and yes, umbrellas are under it
I sat there under it some many times and one day when I was alone in the waiting room I took tons of shots of it
I did use picnik - I love that site
I originally blurred because the ceiling is so ugly and then I just kept going LOL

Neat shot, Dianne. I like how you played with it and turned the photo into something fun and unusual.

Nice way to present the shot, soft edges and the coloring. Very nice.

Kewl sepia shot. I've not been able to figure out how to turn my photos into sepia versions with Photoshop Elements but hopefully one day I'll be able to play.
Hugs and blessings,
