The top pic is an interesting interplay of lines-straight contrasting with curvy and square overlaid with oblique. Very nice.
The lower one is more uniform-the shadows follow the grain of the wood, the curves are there but understated. It is a calmer picture than the first, and also very nice!
We just love these shadows....the lazy days of summer shadows! It is such a sad thing to give up the flip flops for shoes though...that is something we are not looking forward too!

Lovely! I like the shadows and the summery vibe to them!
Summer afternoon—
deep shadows on my sandals
make me long for light.
My Shadow Shots
Those are both poetic images ...
Beautiful shadows. Restful and relaxing.
lovely shadows! Nice patterns!
I really like the first shot with the shoes. The colors, shadows, and tiles are appealing.
Both photos have lovely shadow patterns ... hard to choose a favorite this morning.
Hugs and blessings,

The first shot is really exceptional.
Or how to make ART out of a simple pair of slippers and a shadow. Awesome!
Beautiful patterns of shadow and light!
Wonderful shadows! Wow!

I so LOVE late afternoon light. Very nice, Dianne!
Lovely shadows. (And they must mean that you've finally gotten some sun, too!)

Love those shadowy patterns.

Love both of the shots, Dianne! :)
The top picture says it all!
Very relaxing.
You've captured two totally different shadow looks here--great textures and contrasts and lighting.
What lovely set of shadows :P
Great set - I love the second one especially.
I love afternoon light. And I love being alone to bask in it.
The shoes seem sad to have been left behind, abandoned in the fading light. Love the abstract quality of that second one.
You have a great eye for photography. Not everyone would have seen the possibilities in these scenes.
