These are scenes from a shopping center parking lot, taken a few days ago.
The birds were everywhere and the sound and sight of them was glorious.
It amazed me how almost no one, other than children and me, looked up.
Always take the time to look up.

The scene does remind me of the Hitchcock Bird movie. Cool shots of the blackbirds.
What a great photos of the birds, it looks like they have some sort of a meeting over the line ;)

Yes! I always think of The Birds when I see a lot of them like this. Fun pics! You did a really good job.

The meeting of great minds! I think it is amazing how so many people miss so many amusing sights. But "we camera people" catch them all!
That is quite a sight and you've captured the feeling beautifully. Great photos.
I have to agree that people who love wildlife would be aware of such a gathering of birds and take the time to photograph them.
I always say "have camera, will capture"!
Indeed, I ask those around me if they've noticed how beautiful the sky is. It's not just camera people, but bloggers, I think that notice the world around them more.
I love your series of photos! It looked to me that the birds were passing some kind of message or gossip down the line.
Thank you for your nice comment about Heidi.
As always, wonderful photos!!!!
Happy Holidays!!!!!!
These suckers are bad in Indiana.. I have never seen anything like it. Darn near a black out when they fly over. MY big dog barks at them over head. She is not fond of their flying capabilities at all. Oy
Its eerily like The Birds. I find looking up is always a good thing .. ;-)
That's EXACTLY what I always say! Great captures, and you're so right, Alfred would have loved it!
That many of them & nobody was looking? That's odd. I would have been looking, same as you!
Yup ... these photos definitely remind me of the Hitchcock film! Lately I've seen birds doing the same kind of thing while I've been driving and wondered at the behavior myself.
Hugs and blessings,
Starlings! They do make quite a racket. I'm one of those people who looks up. Have you ever seen a whole flock of them 'whooshing'? They make these amazing formations with fluid changes as they fly.
Wow.. those are lovely shots. I am definitely one those who looks up. thanks for sharing
Love the shadow too. Great capture!
hairy caterpillar
looks like they have a seminar!
Hey Dianne, isn't it amazing how these birds can find a spot. They must move over a bit if things get pretty full. This is a good picture. I will try to give you a heads up if I ever post it.
Thanks for peeking in on me, and for reading my poem. I wish a Belated Merry Christmas and an Early Happy New Year to you!
..
I agree that one must always take the time to look up. Alfred Hitchcock would approve of these shots, Dianne. caw caw
P.S. that's not our dining room you commented on in my shadow shot.
It's our niece's new house that she and her husband just had built.
It's H-U-G-E. They wanted to have the family there for their first Christmas Eve in their new home.
We have a tiny abode. But we love it. ;-)
Cute, Nice entry. Mine is up!
Some kind of meeting going on there...look out they may have plans to take over.
I wish not concur on it. I assume polite post. Particularly the title-deed attracted me to read the sound story.
Genial brief and this enter helped me alot in my college assignement. Say thank you you seeking your information.
