Ruby Tuesday: Highlands

We continue our trip through Highlands, NJ - moving from yesterday's yellows to some red.

This sign sits at the entrance to Main Street and lists many of the Highlands businesses ...

There is a lot of construction going on at the shoreline. A worker told me they were building a new launch ramp as well as doing repairs to the damage caused by the severe weather we had in February and March ...

Veteran's Memorial Park is really beautiful. It was windy on Saturday and the sound of the flags flapping was amazing ...

More shots of those statues later in the week.

That business sign is "busy." I wouldn't know which one to read first!

A red crane thingy! Perfect find for today.

I love the flags flapping. I can almost hear them.

I love that sign, it is very busy, I agree with Patti, but that's part of what draws me to it! Great find on the Crane, and the Flags....they make my heart stop! I'm an Army Wife, and LOVE the Site of Old Glory flying, and the POW flag invokes a million feelings in me!! Nice Captures!

Very nice shots, I appreciate the little tour. Glad they're busy working on the bridge before the season gets underway. Love the crane, really fits your Ruby Tuesday assignment!

Love the sign posts, now of course I want to know what some of these shops the signs are for sells ..like what is sold at Lusty? Or at Moby's?

The signs look like totems.

The red crane is a lovely ruby as it is involved with construction of useful things. The flags are excellent rubies, tempered by the sadness of the POW flags. The stars and stripes look wonderful as they are unfurled in the sea breezes...

Very clever choices for Ruby Tuesday--a town with lots of places to visit.

I bet I couldn't read fast enough to read all those signs! In fact, I think the guy behind me is hoking as I type. ;-)

I love the look of the flags waving in unison.

The group of signs is great, eye catching. I love the soft edged photo of the flags too. Hope your Tuesday was a good one. :))

I'm with Patti on the business sign being busy but I'd rather see that than a lot of individual signs strung out.
Love the first flag image - nice catch!
