Yes, we're still at Highlands, NJ. I told ya I took a ton of photos.
I came off the boardwalk ...
and I walked - uh - limped - well I schlepped over to one of the side streets
where I became fascinated by this fence ...
the fence led me to this ...
it was worth the trip

Sure was worth the trip!!! I love the fence shot! The colors are amazing at that place!!
Certainly worth the trip. These are great!
Oh and your comment on my blog made me laugh! You funny thing!
Hope you have a lovely week ahead :)
Love the shot of the second fence, the texture of the composition just screams antiquity to me!
Follow the boardwalk,
someone has built it for you—
but where does it lead?
Your choice of shadows:
Stony Shadows
Deluge of darkness
Nice stuff, love the fences. Cool effect on the black and white!
I just want to say (long overdue) how much I enjoy your blogs. The pictures are wonderful on this one and the writing on Forks always something I can appreciate. Thanks. j
Terrific shots, Dianne, love the second one! Aren't shadows fun? Hope you have a great week!

Some beautiful, sharp shadows, Dianne. Why are you limping?
The old fence leaves an interesting shadow, broken down thought it may be.
Good thing you schlepped over to the side street and found that great photo number 3.
Happy shadow seeking this week, Dianne.
Great shadow shots - the sun must have been very bright :-)
All great shadows, and interesting how the shapes are repeated in the last one.
great lines/angles and shadows. Nice photos!
All of your shadow shots are quite nice. I have a soft spot for walkways and yours is lovely.
Great shadow shots. Really love the fence shot. I hope you're having a fun time. Are you with your son DIL and Hope?
I enjoy the fences with their horizontal vs. vertical motifs. The shadows likewise follow the directional themes. No matter what fence you followed, they led to a beautiful shadow. Horizontal or vertical - either way, you captured a fine set of shadows!
Definitely was worth investigating!
Superb .. love the fence shots ..

I love that center photo, Dianne! It's beautiful--and intriguing. I imagine it to be an old fence around an old, old graveyard. You would come across those from the 1600s and 1700s in New England while walking in the forest. Nothing but forest and an old graveyard with a fence like this one around it sometimes.
Some more great ones, Dianne.
I miss visiting. Hope I get this computer thing solved soon!
The more modern fence and rail to the picket which is awesome.
The last one jolted me a little. I guess we're still close to Easter week. :)
Ooops ... looks like the spammer hit here too! I don't understand why folks do this kind of thing. Anyway ... this Shadow Shot series is WONDERFUL. Loved the photo of Isadora and Siren in a standoff over the toys ... and the amazing capture of 'the Diva' in the tree. The light is wonderful! Kewl ruby capture in the unusual ladder outside the restaurant too.
Hugs and blessings,
