Weekend Reflections: The Empty Restaurant

Another small business bites the dust. This building used to house a really nice casual restaurant owned by a few local guys. Over the years the influx of Houlihans and TGIF really hurt business and they recently closed.

Thankfully the owner is keeping up the property while trying to rent it.

That is happening here to a lot of our local businesses and one of our malls. Nice reflections though!

Love your reflections, Dianne! Really terrific shots! I always love the clouds and the trees! And best of all you had enough sunshine to get them in the first place, which is more than I can say this week!! Have a great weekend and give Hope a hug for me!

It is always a pity when local business have to close down and being replaced by the large chains. It looked really nice.

It's interesting how the window blinds interact with the glass reflections. And, this is sad...another local business swallowed by the "big guys."

Isn't it sad when small business gets gobbled up. These are stunning reflections. The one with the clouds so prominent is my favorite. Well done. Have a wonderful Friday :)

The shot with all the white puffy clouds looks very optimistic. I hope this story will have a happy ending.

Your reflections are super. Sad to see businesses like this go though.

So sad to see small businesses go under.

The reflections are amazing, somewhat surrealistic. Love them!!!

Pretty building and great reflections you captured in the windows! I love to see al that blue sky and white puffy clouds.

I always thinks it's a shame when a small business goes under, especially when it's due to the big chains out there.

Nice reflections, but what a pity that he had to close it down. Here too many cafés had to close. Especially since this stupid no smoking law where people only drink and don't eat !

So sad a bunch of nice guys had to close their place down. But you did get some very nice reflections! I love the ones with the white fluffy clouds. Have a wonderful Sunday!

Great reflection shots, love the one with the clouds most!

Shame the business had to close, that is happening just too much lately! It's time to make a greater effort to support them!

A reflective post in more ways than one! Very nice pictures. Lots and lots of empty storefronts around here, not always as well kept up as this one is unfortunately.

I love window reflections. It's hard to believe that so many people walk by without seeing them. I know I used to miss them before I started looking for them!
