Summer and Shadows and Critters - Oh My!

I'm combining a few photo projects into a little pictorial story of an afternoon at a park near me.
links are at the bottom of the post

How efficient I am! Ambidextrous even.

The sun created some lovely lines down the steps and walkway ...

Summer brings lots of tourists to this park. There is a wonderful Inn just down the road. Everyone comes to take photos of the river and the boats ...

My favorite spot is here - where the green turns to blue and the trees hug the lamp post ...

On my way out of the park I stopped at the flower beds. I hope you can see Mr. B ...

I love his big eye

The Three Trees provided shade on my way back to my car ...

This weekend starts off the second summer of Robin's SUMMER STOCK SUNDAY

Misty is into the second year of hosting CAMERA CRITTERS

I don't know how long the fabulous Hey Harriet has hosted SHADOW SHOTS I just know I'm glad she does

And last but not least I just met Tablescraper through the ELEGANT ELLEN B and discovered that she hosts SUMMER SUNDAYS

I hope you'll take some time to check them out

Have a wonderful weekend

A lovely series of photos and commentary! My favourite is the alst one with the trees.

The railing above the steps leave a quizzical look for the viewer: does the railing take our eyes up the steps or avert our eyes down the steps instead?

The other pictures leave no questions but an observation that the Raritan River estuary area is a place to enjoy ourselves by merely relaxing or chasing shadows instead...

What a pretty park. I can see why lots of people would want to come here! I love your picture of the trees hugging the lamp post with peek of the water and sailboat. That is a great shot! Mr. B in the purple flowers and the pretty shadows is lovely. Love the shadows in the first and second shots too.

Beautiful series -- thanks for sharing your walk. I am studying your photos of angles to try to see how you do it! They are always so elegant.

I see the busy bee on both beautiful flower fotos.

This looks like a wonderful place to spend a hot Summer Day enjoying the sun and fresh breeze. The bee is quite easy to spot in both the flower pics. Lovely capture.

I never notice shadows until I see them in someones photos. The way you shoot them makes me notice they are art.
