This is Gus ...
I run into him often at the marina. I do believe he is the elder gull. The others appear to defer to him.
I think he's exceptionally handsome and quite regal.
I also think he recognizes me ...
He seems interested in my cooing at him ...
Or maybe not ...
Whatever mood Gus is in I think he's a good old bird.

I bet he does recognize you & then (like my dog) he gets sick of too much picture taking and refuses to cooperate.
