A memorial dedicated to the veterans of WWI and WWII stands nestled in the courtyard of a church community center.
I really love red brick.

I love red bricks too. Great shots!
Ruby Red Tuesday
what a wonderful memorial and nice splashes of rubies. love the weather vane against the blue sky too.
The statue seems to be a look at a friend, beckoning with his hand for us to come over for a chat. A sad reason, bit I don't feel sad looking at the cast soldiers...
I love that clock! I don't see hour clocks tha look quite like that. And it is beautiful!
This is a gorgeous shot. Love that building and that amazing blue sky.
Darn, I've been forgetting about Midweek Blues. I have to try to remember this week to link up, cuz I had a post all ready to go and then forgot to link it. My mind is going...
I'm really enjoying the soldiers - the one offering his hand looks almost like a Puritan. They seem so noble, so sure of themselves.
The rounded architecture with clock and weather vane is splendid and crisp under that blue sky.
Lovely shots! I like the red bricks as well.
Beautiful photos. Happy RT!
I love the Red Bricks also! Great pictures!
The soldiers look so peaceful, if you can say that about a war memorial.

Lovely lens work. Great old buildings.
My Ruby Tuesday link for you
Red brick, blue skies .. perfection
I love brick too & this brick has a quality about it that you don't see in all brick which makes it even more pleasing to the eye.
Lovely memorial. I like the colors and textures in your photos.

Great colors, interesting shapes and angles!
Lovely shots all... I especially like the middle close-up. The farm shot series below is delightful too.
This is one of the nicest war memorials I have ever seen!
I like red bricks too. :)
Nice statue but I was thinking: how come it's always men? It's not like these wars affected only half of the human race.
This really looks like a great hue of red brick as well. Great architectural details as well.
My Grandpa was s WWII veteran so this is a special treat for me.
Lovely post Dianne!
I love the angle of this photo and how you can see just a few of those roman numerals. Very cool.
That's a nice statue you found, Dianne. Here we have many, many more statues of Sam Houston (our [Texas'] first president) than we do of WW stuff.
..
Everything is bigger in Texas.
..
I love the contrast in the photos -really nice!
Thanks for your kind comment!
What a bonus...a weather vane and a clock together!
These are really lovely!
