Shopping In The Rain

It's been raining a lot here the past two weeks. Lucky for me, I like the rain and I like the silvery gray light that rainy days provide.

I was unloading groceries from the shopping cart when I noticed the cart's reflection in a giant puddle so I decided to take a few shots and then play with them.

The first two are the reflection pretty much straight out of the camera ...

I flipped the reflection to make it look like it was the cart ...

It got windy and the reflection began to move ...

A calmer reflection with added texture ...

You did have fun playing, didn't you? These are terrific I love them! I love to play with shadows and reflections, too, but of course you know that! Enjoy your weekend, Dianne! And give Hope a hug!

I like the way you transform some daily object in art... Those pictures are really interesting, and the last two reflections are just amazing.

What a great series of everyday reflections. I am always taken in by the "puddle reflections." It is something that I will remember to think about.

There are photos everywhere - congratulations on not being so single-minded about your shopping that you failed to notice a good image.

Faire de la poésie avec le quotidien. Très bonne idée !

I love these!
The monochrome is perfect for them and I love the sharpness of the reflections.
That texture was great processing in the last one. I keep looking at it. It makes me feel like I'm inside the cart and these foamy bubbles are about to come through.

That's amazing how you did that with the photos. I consider myself blessed if I don't blur a photo.

Me too. LOVE the pictures I can shoot right before the rain. I don't mind the rain as long as it is not cold along to go with it! : )
