These are beautiful. However whenever I see pictures like these I think of an itinerant who lived 2000+ years ago and said things like "take what you have and sell it and give it to the poor." and wonder what he would say about all the things which have been done (built etc.) in His name.

This is absolutely beautiful! I see the stars in the ceiling, the tiles are stunning. Likewise the stained glass. As a place of worship, this is a place to contemplate in the realm of beauty and glory...

So ornate. Lovely details. For a minute, I imagined the church as in Italy. Though the outside looks like New Jersey.

Beautiful Church.....love all the detail in the windows...You had wondered about my red leaf pile. It was japanese and striped (yellow) leaves just raked into a pile and then I looked down and thought it looked pretty......Michelle

Those are wonderful photos, Dianne! Such a colorful, vibrant church. So much more cheerful than the Catholic churches I remember as a child. . .

Great reds but it's the blues in these images which really captivate me. They quite remind me of the special shade of blue of Chartres Cathedral (aptly named "Chartres Blue").

Oh, I bet there was so much to photograph there. You got some really great shots! I think that second-to-last one is my favorite.

Quite a tour of an impressive place. Time means nothing when creating these.

What opulence, huh? It is very grand inside those huge places. My favorite thing is always the amazing glass work of the windows.

You got some really gorgeous shots, luv!

I like elephants too! I am a bleeding heart for all animals but particularly elephants, octopusses and crows. :-)
