At The Edge

Do photographers get lens block? I haven't had any creative inclinations since Christmas. It doesn't help that I don't feel well and that it's really difficult to navigate piles of snow with a cane.

I found this photo in my archives. It kinda sums up how I feel. Just standing there at the edge staring out into vast bleakness.

And now I'm whining. I hate when I whine, it's so unattractive. Hopefully I'll find more decent shots in my archives and I'll get back to posting regularly.

Be well everyone.

It is a great photo none the less. And everyone goes to a whine and cheeze party once in awhile. Be well. Isle of View.

I'm with you there ...

I love the photo.

I so know what you mean about just staring out at the wildness and not knowing what to do. My life exactly ...

A little whine once in awhile is good for the soul ;-)

Nice choice on the photo, we all get a creative/motivation block occasionally... just breathe, it'll come!

Feel better!

Dianne,
I'm so sorry you are not feeling well...goodness gracious, girl, crawl up on the couch under a nice warm blanket and have a spot of tea and a good book. It'll do wonders for your frame of mind :)

Oh, you definitely will get back to it. I'm not a photographer and I don't have an artistic bone in my body but I still know that slumps are cyclical. I love this photo. to me, it's peaceful and beautiful.

I hope you start feeling better soon!

I hope you feel better! I am in the same mind-frame right now - not sure what is up with that but I hope it passes for both of us quickly!

I think to have a creative dip would be "normal" right after all the December festivities! In a month or so, you'll have renewed energy to have a great blog year 2011!
