Muddy Waters

After the heavy snows of winter and the downpours of spring the town created some ditches to re-direct the water back to the creek and lake ...

Even a ditch can be beautiful when its reflections are noticed by a photoblogger!

Came here from Sylvia's. Just some thoughts on the third photo

Sometimes
an idea
overcomes us all;

Immersed in it,
a new day
brings a new perspective;

Some brush it aside,
nudging even slivers
from their shoulders,
as they return
to their original
green thinking.

Some are all in tangles,
much immersed
in the flow,
yet standing out,
undecided
at turnings.

And some
just throw themselves in,
dissolve
their dryness of thought,
and flow along,
carrying
all the
flotsam and jetsam
of life
with them.

Day after day,
life and ideas
flow on,
unhindered, season after season.

The first one is my favorite. I like all the colors, blue, brown, black, white. It's a party for my eyes :-)

I also like the first, best. The ripples change what could have been realistic to impressionistic.

Thanks for the visit!

I like the play of light on this creek. Looks a lot like one of the places I was forbidden to play when I was a little kid. Yes, of course I played there anyway. :))
