Here Comes The Sun

As I was leaving the hotel I stayed at during Hurricane Irene, the sun was shining through the windows all along the hallway.

Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun
and I say, it's all right
thank you George Harrison

The color of the carpeting makes the sunshine seem even sunnier!

I LOVE MY SHADOW

I love my shadow,
My shadow loves me;
We chat together
And don’t disagree!

My shadow and I
Prefer not to shout
As we go walking
And rambling about.

My shadow’s so wise,
I ask what she thinks;
She’s happy to share,
And then nods and winks.

My shadow and I
Are best buds, you see;
That’s why we try hard
To always agree!

Arroyo Shadows

NJ got nailed by Irene at high tide (coast) and the Passaic did its tricks inland. Happily (and hopefully) you were spared from the wrath...

On to nicer things, like shadows: The hallway shot is superb! The vertical character of the shadows look like wainscoting on the wall, and the shadows seem to mute the ugly patterned hotel carpet. Nice shadows, and for NJ, no rain for a month!

This is fantastic, Dianne! I love it! Now, aren't you glad you stayed in the hotel!! Hope things are continuing to get cleaned up and that you and kitties are enjoying your weekend!

I know many folks were glad to see the sunshine including my daughter who went four days without power.

Beautiful shot of the shadows! The sunshine yellow in the wall and carpet do indeed amp up the good feeling it gives you.

That Beatles song was one of my favorites in college. :)

The sunshine on the yellow carpet makes for one lovely color filled shot. Irene was NOT so beautiful. She messed up our beach vacation to VA Beach, but we did get 4 nights out of the 7. Hope you all were OK and did not suffer damages. genie

Sorry you had to stay at a hotel. I've not stopped by so I didn't know how Irene affected you. At least you got some crisp, linear shadows.

We were incredibly blessed in this part of CT. - no power outage like so many people suffered through..

I trust all is back to normal now.
