I was almost afraid that like in JAWS, the shark was as stealthy as your shadow. Then it was curtains for whomever was in the way of the shark's teeth...happily, this shadowy mass was quite benign!
Terrific shadow shots for the day, Dianne! It's fun to be surprised by your own shadow sometimes! We can turn up in some strange places! Hope you have a great weekend! Hugs to Hope!
I agree with Patti. "Eeek!" I'm glad you didn't fall in, although that first photo is beautiful enough to warrant taking the chance. Very nice work, Dianne. — K

I have to admit that for a moment there I was afraid I was going to see more than your shadow! I'm so glad you didn't land in the water with your shadow! That being said, you captured some great shots.
Lucky the Kracken didn't come up out if the water! That shadow shot is beyond words. I love those shots where the sun allows symmetry, and you saw it and almost gave up your life to capture it. This one is perfect! Too cold to boat here in the Northland. Better head back to New Mexico.

And I also like the shadows cast along the railing.

X ya!
Ah, but can you be entirely sure that it was just you??? ; )

Glad you didn't "fall overboard" in your attempts to get a good shot. Love your shadow!! Have a nice weekend. Mickie :)
Eeek! Try not to lean too far in a quest for the perfect shot!
(I'm easily scared)
Glad that shape was your shadow and not something more sinister.
Hope you enjoy the weekend, Diane ;-)
sorry! typing too fast.
I meant "Dianne" - please forgive
Bravery award goes to YOU!!! I can't swim....love the ocean and it's mystery and sounds, but I would be scared to do such a thing.

At least the Lady in the Water was only a shadow and not a Damsel in Distress!
SHADOW BOLD
Shadow bold and shadow bright,
Shadow with me day and night,
Shadow taller than a tree,
Tell me what you think of me!

This is great!
What a great shadow shot. It pulled me in, I had to study it for awhile.
HA! I thought you might have caught a shot of Diana Nyad with a extra long lens .. maybe
Don't let your shadow scare you!
How cool is that! And fun too.
What a sense of humor. Luckily you didn't fall in. But, wait, you probably would have captured a wonderful pic of yourself falling overboard. Cheers!!
