Very cool observation and capture. And they do the same job, support, beautify. The sun doesn't differentiate either, it shines on all of them.

The posts of the building support much weight, and they and their shadows are massive. The slats on the back of the bench are not weight bearing - but more of style. So their slender build makes for slim shadows. Big or small, shadow art is fun!
