Back When We Had Money To Count

If I remember correctly this adding machine dates back to the early 1800s.

I don't remember the name of the place where this was displayed. I want to say the Wells Fargo building but I could be wrong.

I was in Philadelphia last week to see a show and meet the wonderful Ron from VENT

More shots from that day coming up.

I love blasts from the past like that, Dianne. It's amazing how huge that machine is. The only thing limited the small size of calculators today is the big size of our fingers.

I love old adding machines, cash registers, etc. They had such a great look and were so imposing in a store.

Kewl counting machine!

I sorta figured it our. In the window across the street, there's a reflection of the sign for Robinson Luggage, which is at 201 S Broad St. Across the street is a Wachovia Bank, maybe it was their window? The blue awnings in the background are from the Ralph Lauren store at Broad & Walnut. The street view of google maps is amazing!

Technology has changed a lot...that is bigger than many present day computers, and it only did one job!
Your reflections show another example: bicycle versus automobile!
