Don't Forget to Shut the Gate


I wish I knew the point of this fence. It's pretty enough but so odd. It's been this way for years; not attached to anything, not enclosing anything.

As soon as I saw this image, I couldn't help but be reminded of a very similar type fence I once saw in a European movie, that led into a cemetery. But the odd thing about it was that it was like your photo...it didn't enclose the cemetery or even come close to it, but rather quite a distance away.

I've seen a few of these fences in my life's travels as well.makes me think that the fences did enclose something at one time.
