The Gull and the Sea and the Sky

A beautiful day at the marina last week. The gulls are very friendly and many of them like to pose. I'm pleased with the way the sea and the sky sort of merged to make a lovely background for the gull.

Sweet guy. I usually call gulls Gus and squirrels Harry. It just seems to suit them.

That is really stunning! And I agree about your background comment. And I'm so grateful to see a post from you today. It seems that all my online friends have gone "out of town" for the weekend. I've been going through withdrawals. :)

Hi there - Gus does indeed seem to work for this gull!

Can’t say I still use point and shot cameras - but your right, you have to see a picture before you can take it. And all the gear in the world can’t make you see.

Handsome guy, nice of him to pose. It makes me smile, isn't that one way we can measure success?

Gus? That reminded me the song : Hop on the bus, Gus, we don't need to discuss muuuuuch! Hahahaha.
Love the background as well!

I don't know why, but I love seagulls, they are so clever ! and then they remind me my yearly holidays at the English coast ! They are very big there ! And when you eat a sandwich outside, you have to be careful, they dive down and steal it in a second !

I really have enjoyed meeting Gus. He is a cutie pie. Apparently we have something in common. We name animals, too. We call all of our frogs Freedrick, chickens Henrietta, and hummingbirds Hector. Guess they are all unisex animals. I am so happy to meet another namer. Buddy and I have gotten a big chuckle just now. genie

I love seagulls. Across the street from my supermarket I see lots of them, and when I am at City Island I see lots more of them. They are very boisterous birds. Cheers!!

You made me laugh - Gus I can see, because it's a play on words, but HARRY? (there must be a story there...)
