"There's A Parrot In The Floor!"
my granddaughter Hope said when she saw this reflection created by sunlight on a piece of crystal.
I've been playing around with new photo editing sites now that Picnik.com will be shutting down. I created this at iPiccy.com.

Gorgeous... it really does look a bit like a parrot!
lovin' the parrot! :)
I see the parrot. :)
Looks like you're having fun at iPiccy.com. I may have to try that site out. :.
Dianne, this is the COOLEST shot!
And yes, it DOES look exactly like a parrot!!!
It's funny because earlier today I was visiting one of my blogging friends' blog, and she also posted a photo of prism light!
Thanks for sharing the photo editing site, I will definitely check it out.
Hope you had a FAB day!
X ya!
It is amazing how the wood grain gives our imagination a workout like this. When Allegra was much younger, she also saw a parrot on wall paneling. When we parents saw what she saw, we were amazed - the grain looks still like a bird. Neat!
she's a poet!
LOVE this series, and thanks for the site tip-

Hope is a very astute little girl!
Love your 'Andy Warhol' like mosaic. :)
What a lovely rainbow!
Ooh, those are all so pretty! Both the parrot and the home-made ones.
I think that set of four would be lovely to hang on the wall!
Like a parrot with a rainbow cloak! Such a lovely image! And love the collage of colour tones!
"A parrot on the floor"....I like the reference very much.
My Tuesday Link: MARDI GRAS 'FAT TUESDAY' Come on over and enjoy the celebration if you can.
Sweet! I see the parrott, too :) Enjoy your (fat) Tuesday, Di!
I have experienced a lot of incidence like that. Im in full amazement everytime im seeing like it.
ipiccy looks to be the best replacement for Picnik .. the only downside I see is its not got storage space online and it doesnt link back to Picasa (where I keep the photos I post on my blog) .. I love the 'parrot' and Hope's awesome imagination .. and of course you!
Beautiful colors! Indeed, look likes a parrot:)
Visiting from Rt2- hope you can stop by:)

You've got a clever grandchild in that Hope! Nice picture taking too.
Happy MidWeek Blues. :)
..
Gorgeous results ! especially the "parrot" !
I'll have to check out ipiccy! Looks like you are having fun playing!
Children have such great imaginations. I too like iPiccy as an alternative to Picnik. I noticed today that just in the past few days they have now added curves and levels and a cloning tool, so it now has just about everything I liked from Picnik.
Out of the mouths of babes..they have magic eyes that we lose as we get older..thank you Hope..
Funky it is! Had to chuckle - I also have a grand daughter (the first one) named Hope:)
I'm just waiting until Hope starts her own blog! She has an original and creative mind. (Wonder where she gets that anyway?)
Very interesting picture series -- and of course I love the parrot one the best, me and Hope! I should go look at that IPiccy. I never really used Picnik much, but I could use something.
What a delight to see things through a child's eyes!
I love that Hope saw a parrot in the colors.
Like Ralph, I also remember when young Allegra saw a parrot in the wood grain paneling.
Come to think of it, the parrot's still there.
what a brilliant comment!
What a terrific observation by your grandaughter! Love it! Ann
