Follow That Sky

My granddaughter Hope once told me that "the sky at the beach is much bigger"

We had some crazy skies last week. Sunny and hot one moment, dark and stormy the next
I saw the dark clouds in the distance and drove down to the beach to see them bigger

In the distance of some shots you can see lower Manhattan and the Verrazano-Narrows bridge connecting Staten Island to Brooklyn
In others there's a dilapidated pier near Sandy Hook and a water tower (just for DARYL) and an amusement park
I'd like to thank the wonderful lady and her pink bow spear for picking up trash off the beach as she took a walk

HA! I LOVE THAT!!!!

((((( Hope )))))

Dianne, dear lady, these sky shots are beautiful! Love them all, but the second one down really spoke to me. The dark shadows beneath the white clouds are stunning. Also, I love how you can see that tiny strip of land in the distance.

Well done!

Much X to you and Hope!

Hi Dianne ~~ Thank you for your nice beach pictures. The lady with the trash pickup stick is doing good for everyone. I suppose it is a fun day for her.

Happy MidWeek Blu!
((((Hugs)))) for Hope!

Those are some amazing sky shots you captured! Wow!

I love to watch the clouds as a weather front pushes through. The way they get flattened on the bottom and shaped is so neat to me. Powers where we can only see the effect. :)

I think it's fabulous that Hope teaches you so many important facts and that she got you to take a good look at that big sky. And the lady who picks up trash deserves a medal.

first shot is my favourite. I like the contrast between teh sidewalk and the skies and waterline. I think the signs and the yellow part makes it interesting.

lovely to see your part of the world by the water too; lovely skies. I love the varying 'moods'. Today is our shortest day of the year/winter solstice

Your granddaughter is an insightful little girl. I think the sky does look bigger over water. :)

Wonderful, heavy, dramatic clouds brooding over these lovely views of water! And adore your thank you comment to the lady gathering rubbish on the beach! It's so good to see people care for the environment!
