Where Are The Dogs?

I have passed this place a bazillion times and always thought it was called Seven Dogs
I have even mentioned to friends and neighbors how I wanted to check it out - let's go get a drink, watch a game, hang out
We would always end up somewhere else but no one ever questioned that there was indeed Seven Dogs

So when I finally stopped to take a shot of the sign I was flabbergasted to discover there are not Seven Dogs, there isn't even One Dog

Plus the place appears to have gone out of business

or gone to the Dogs

My mind is a terrible thing and it must be stopped in my lifetime**

** hats off to a comedian whose name I have forgotten

How funny! I can see how that could happen with that lettering, especially passing by in a car or something.

"there are not Seven Dogs, there isn't even One Dog"
Classic! :D

Oh, what a hoot!! I'm so glad to learn that I'm not the only one that sees things like this! What a great giggle to start my day, Dianne! Just what I needed! Enjoy your day -- regardless of what you see! Hugs to Hope and to you!!

That sort of thing happens to me all the time. I think that perhaps if they had named it Seven Dogs it might still be in business.
\Especially if they let Miles and Molly run the place.

Hahaha, so funny! Sounds like something I would do. Wouldn't it be sad if they went out of business because of that horrendous font? Cute post!!

Lol -- maybe that's why it went out of business -- people were continually disappointed. :)

We've all had those moments! Perhaps their choice of signage font and color is one of the reasons they went out of business. I like the idea of "Seven Dogs" much better!
:-D

My sign is HERE

I saw dogs too, maybe that's why they went out of business - everyone looked up the wrong name!

Well, I looked at it quite a while wondering what you were talking about because it looked like dogs to me. Haha, I'm so suggestible. Well, I don't think "seven days" is nearly as great a pub name and I guess nobody else did either!

It reminds me of how song lyrics can be misheard! Good one.

You're so funny!
I know what you mean, though. You read what you think you are meant to read!

I love signage!

I would have probably thought the same thing! And I actually think Seven Dogs is a cooler name for a bar than Seven Days. That's prob why they went out of business, no creativity. :)

I believe that it is called having senior moments. I have them too. But, it could just be that our vision isn't as sharp as it use to be.

LOL... Yes some fonts are not easily legible. Bad on a sign!
