At the Swimming Hole

There was some drama at the foot of my neighbor's driveway

I'll just flex a bit and relax

Maybe a little pacing

Gee, that's an interesting cloud formation. I'll have to check that out later

Maybe if I just ignore him he'll get out

What? Yeah it is a pretty cloud. You getting out any time soon?

Fine then, I'll get all the good worms

Wonderful play. It's raining here in Lower Westchester County, NY. 75 degrees Lady Di, and I am feeling blissful. What a relief from the sweltering heat. Have a great weekend. Cheers!!

So cute! Loved your captions for these. Isn't it fun to put human thoughts inside these little bird brains? :)

you did a great job capturing such close robin shots....I have found that they are pretty skittish, and I can't get very close at all...unlike finches...

I love to see birds bathing in puddles! I wonder if there are any in Lindy's wading pool right now. Must peek out the window.
Enjoyed your photos and dialogue a lot, Dianne.

Very funny. I watch all the birds here in our Stone Creek area and it's quite interesting how the different groups don't get along very well. I saw some egret bombing some wood storks yesterday near one of our ponds. Don't know what the problem was but the egrets were mad about something!

You really do understand robins well, Dianne. :)

Long awaited rain? Poor things were probably tired of being so dry.

LOVE this .. for two reasons .. every robin I try to photograph sits there til I hit the shutter then the little shit flies off mocking me .. AND yesterday on our speed walk I spied a small sparrow having a fun time in a puddle, I get ready to take its photo and it stops bathing, looks right at me and flies off mocking me as he goes . damn birds
