Working Hard for the Money

I was waiting for a parking spot and watching this utility worker wire an office complex.

This shot is dedicated to my son and all Verizon workers who are still waiting for a contract. Decent wages and no cuts to benefits from a company that pays millions to its top 3 executives and a company that has received millions and millions of tax breaks from the states of NY and NJ.

Terrific reflection, Dianne, and it is so sad to see what companies "don't do" for the very people that have helped fill their pockets! Holding good thoughts for your son! Hugs to Hope -- to all of you!

What an AMAZING eye you have, Dianne!

This shot is truly AWESOME!!!

The clarity you captured in the mirror is incredible. I also like the blur/shadow effect around the edges.

VERY well done, dear lady!

X ya!

P.S. sending 'good vibes' to your son!

Hmmm. What is it that top executives do that makes them worth all that money?

A very cmpelling shot that immediately draws interest to the subject. Excellent composition: planned, not just happened.

Great reflection. Pretty much most all of the big companies are the same don't you think? It will get worse if Romney is elected.

My friend's husband is an architect for Verizon. He works long, long hours. She thinks he's killing himself, but he's too afraid of all the layoff rumors, so he continues the grueling schedule. Hope things improve, but I don't see an improvement from either political party.

Nice shot, though!

I get angry when companies are greedy and forget who is making all that money for them...

I love reflection shots in car mirrors. Hope it works out for your son.

Workers want to work as it is the right thing to do. Hard work may be its own reward, but a contract is still a contract. Hope your son gets his contract soon...

it´s a great shot. And, sadly, it seems like that problem is all over the world. I wonder why?

Great shot but bad, bad news.
Unfortunately this happens everywhere. Greedy people who have power don't think of a small human being who has to pay from his/her own pocket - not from company's pocket - ALL living costs.
This is so WRONG, argh!
