Going Home

You can almost reach out and touch the majestic Verrazano Narrows Bridge connecting me in NJ to my family in Brooklyn.

Yet on Christmas Eve it took 90 minutes to reach the bridge.

Oh well ...

It's like you can reach out and touch it but you can't get there.

Oh boy. Makes me think of that line "the traffic was terrific" in the Perry Como song, "There's No Place Like Home for the Holidays".

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas outside of that traffic! Merry Christmas to Siren and Isadora too!

I see it's a busy city in a busy day! I confess I don't like to drive, mainly because I feel sick during traffic, I feel a kind of panic, but I need to learn to be calm because sometimes we don' t have choice and to drive a car is necessary. :)

You did it, phew, driving all the way, you could have done it walking, lol.

Like EG said, good thing you had your camera to help ease your wait in that traffic jam.

So close but yet so far..ugh.

Yikes! We've traveled some, but I'm still a small-town girl at heart; I honestly can't imagine this ...you'd almost have to leave a day early to get there on time.
