I love a white picket fence and a giant tree. Look how the sun shines on the tree top.
Like many towns across the country my town never expected to be home to so many people. People in cars. NJ is infamous for its dark roads and confusing signage.
The lovely fence and its leafy friend live at the end of a busy road. A "T" intersection where making a left can be tricky.
Originals - people who were born in the town - say this fence has been taken out several times over the years.
Hopefully little red reflections help

sigh ... nothing short of someone standing there waving to 'watch out' will stop fools who cant make broken U turns
cool and beautiful! :)
I love picket fences and this one is extra nice!!
we have a 't' that faces into our front pasture. the wood fence was taken out before we bought the place by someone flying thru the stop sign. since then, our pipe fence has also been run thru - happily a high SUV and airbags saved the drunk kids from being seriously hurt.
Don't think I'e ever seen reflectors on a white picket fence. Shame, but necessary I guess. Hope you have a great weekend!
I love that picture. It is heaven sent. Great shot Lady Di!!
i love picket fences ... so cute. i know of a lady who continues to have lots of folks run to their fence. i'm sure it is a true headache. nuts. (:
I think I might put bigger reflectors than that! I would hate to see that fence taken out...it is a beauty.
Looks cool...I think those red reflections will save this fence :)
Great pictures you show. Thanks for your comment on my blog. Wishing you a good weekend :) Hanne Bente
Love this pretty picket fence...hope it can survive being so close to the turn.
I hope it continues to survive. The shots look great.
Some fences sure are magnets for disaster. I hope the reflectors reverse this fence's fortune.
Love the picket fence, it's perfect -- hope the signals work.
I would have thought the white colour of the fence would have been highly reflective and hence easily visible, but obviously not.
