There is a park along the Navesink River in NJ that's built on three levels. You enter at street level and you can descend to the water's edge.
I enjoy the middle level for communing with the trees. The trees at the bottom seem close enough to touch and give the feeling of being able to climb them.
Hug a tree today

Blues Around Town
These shots were taken in Keyport and Red Bank, NJ on two early spring days
the marina gazebo is a wonderful place to sit
the azure letter? one B word immediately comes to mind
how wonderful that we have our own building
mosaic trash cans, very classy
this shop has bits of everything
some of the bits
the blue sky is reflected off the window of the wee balcony

It's A Treat
Yo Mon Yogurt is a self serve frozen yogurt shop in Freehold, NJ that will soon be opening another store in Red Bank. When I first saw the signs covering the windows of the new location under construction I thought they might be offensive. A dog in dreads? When I went to the website I was treated to a slide show of all sorts of people and four footed friends in dreads and somehow it was lovely.
Yo Mon Yogurt offers a wide variety of flavors and toppings and the customer can create their own treat. Their slogan is ...
Fill da cup, Fill da soul

Meet Me for a Coffee
I just noticed this charming little place not too far me. Next time I'll try to get a shot of the whole building, it's mostly simple distressed wood with small white lights around the frame.

Where Everyone's A Kid
ABC Wednesday is right below
Hobbymasters is a hobby and toy store in Red Bank, NJ. The place is huge and filled to the brim with all kinds of delights.
As you can see the store is pretty hard to miss ...

I mentioned to the owner that all the running trains and product videos must cost a fortune in electric bills and was thrilled to be told that the entire building is powered by solar panels on the roof.
Making people and the planet a little bit happier.

Ruby Tuesday: The Fire Truck
I confess that I'm like a child when it comes to fire trucks. My son used to go nuts whenever he saw one - he'd scream out "Friar Fruck" - at one point it also sounded like something else but we'll just let that go.
I came out of an appointment to find this Friar Fruck parked right behind my car. It was photograpy heaven!
