Fences for Dummies

Although the sign has been there forever, the fence is a new addition to the bank at the shopping center ...

The lanes you see are for the drive-thru banking windows. The parking beyond is for the shopping center. There's plenty of parking for bank customers right by the door.

So although there is no reason to be crossing the drive-thru lanes the bank has decided to have a fence.

Cause folks just ain't too bright.

It's A Treat

Yo Mon Yogurt   is a self serve frozen yogurt shop in Freehold, NJ that will soon be opening another store in Red Bank. When I first saw the signs covering the windows of the new location under construction I thought they might be offensive. A dog in dreads? When I went to the website I was treated to a slide show of all sorts of people and four footed friends in dreads and somehow it was lovely.

Yo Mon Yogurt offers a wide variety of flavors and toppings and the customer can create their own treat. Their slogan is ...

Fill da cup, Fill da soul

Yesterday's

When we first moved from NY to NJ Yesterday's restaurant was the first place we had dinner. It's right around the curve in the road; walking distance if anyone around here actually walked. Anytime I walk there or to the post office next to it someone always asks if everything is alright.

There was a fire at Yesterday's a few months ago and everyone was concerned that they wouldn't re-open; it really is a great neighborhood family place and their Italian food is delicious.

I'm happy to say that they did just re-open with a brand new sign and everything.

Need A Hair Cut?

I don't know if I want someone 'zooming' over my head with scissors but it sure does make for a cool sign ...

Got Ice Tea?

Ahhhhhh - the refreshment of a giant ice tea on a hot August day.
It has been such a hot and humid summer here in NJ. It's so bad we can smell Secaucus (insider joke).

This shot is of a huge ice tea poster outside a diner.
