Camera Critters: Siren Thinks He's Invisible

Siren is a master at making himself invisible - or so he believes.

I can hear you but I can't see you - so that means you can't see me

Let me peek out a little - I hope she's gone

OK fine - you can see me - but I'll be invisible again later

You can visit all sorts of animals at CAMERA CRITTERS

Oh that sneaky old sod. ;) My Sheena used to sit in the middle of the carpet and think that she was invisible because she was camouflage colored (splotchy cream, tan, browns). Unfortunately, the carpet was gray. LOLOL

LOVE the 3rd picture in sepia! :)

One of our dogs, Ollie, has very short hair and gets cold. He is ALWAYS under the covers. And I think he just feels safer there too because Vizsla's are a bit nervous clingy type dogs.

Siren looks like a really sweet baby!

They are like children. Isaac scroonches up his eyes and thinks you can't see him sometimes.

Beautiful catface, lovely pictures, great effect with the different colours. Love that. Love cats!

cherie - old sod!! that's gonna be his new call letters ;)
my sweet JR used to sit in the middle of things - always - regardless of the traffic of people around him he would never move

crystalchick - Siren definitely feels safer under covers - he even manages to get under the sheets and comforter when the bed is MADE!!
then he just sleeps there - a big lump in the middle of a made bed, it's hilarious

bobbie - I love when they do that, Jeffrey used to do it too - 100 years ago :)

carolina - thanks!! Siren looks good in different colors so I took advantage

skittles - glad it made you laugh ;)
siren does have his clown moments

tammy - thanks, he's a good boy :)

Siren seems to be saying "Darn! My ears gave me away AGAIN!" Agreed, how much effort must a cat expend just to hide in peace??

I'll play hide & seek with you Siren...you're it!

Toni said...

Haa haaa! Those are great!

Dianne said...

ralph - what's even funnier than the ear sticking out is when he gets himself into tight places and sleeps there like a giant lump!

bruce - Siren would love to play with you, he'd also like some back-up for when his sister Mia picks on him which is always ;)

That Siren. I adore her spotted nose and how the pinkish spot on it is so like the color of the velvety mauve spread. He's so sweet.

Hi Dianne! Is Siren hiding from you or Mia? Poor guy. It's tough to live in a house full of woman. Lisa

Siren reminds me of my cats. The two youngest (the wild ones) bury themselves under the old quilt in the back bedroom. They also like getting under my chair in the living room -- just enough room for them to slide under. I can hear them breathing! Thanks for visiting!

Good thing you know about Siren's desire to play hide and seek - the last thing you'd want to do is sit on the poor little one.

These photos are a joy to look at!
And the mental image of a lump in the middle of your made bed has put a smile on my dial... does he ever wake you with a tiny bite to the nose? I love how cats do that.

Also, thank you for dropping by the GritFX blog and checking out my first camera critter post "Hello Neighbour", and sorry for my delay in coming over to your blog.

Siren is cute playing hide and seek. I think he may have invisibility only halfway mastered. :)
Cats are indeed masters of invisibility. I have learned a lot watching them.

Ha! Dianne!
That Siren is the greatest!
So funny!
This picture reminds me of the story that Dad Golden tells me quite often.
He says that when I was just a toddler, I tried hiding from him behind a little sapling of a tree.
I guess I thought that as long as I couldn't see him, he couldn't see ME!
Maybe that was Siren's intention.
Oh alas for the stuck out ear....Ha!
Love Terry
