that's a whole lot 'a S
I'm posting for both projects again this week
This shot comes STRAIGHT OUT OF the CAMERA
The SHADOW SHOTS are ...
Me and Siren - I'm trying to teach him to do jazz hands
and of course he's ignoring me and being regal
Siren was on top of the glass table in 'his room' and the sun was pouring in making for some interesting shadows.

Great Dianne! And funny! My shadows and un-edited photos are up for your pleasure! :)
Love the cat shadows!
Love the reflections in your SOOC, and the shadows with you cat are great, too.
Excuse me but cats DO NOT do jazz hands ... I believe it is in the Cat Etiquette book on page 63 under Subsection 12a!
ALL wonderful shots!
Happy New Year!
Paz
Fun shadows! Love the jazz hands...lol. That would be a good pet trick!!
I love that last shot of Siren where he looks so Sphinx-like! These are great!
Happy SSS!
Nice set of photos. I love the kitty shots, of course. Isn't amazing how they can't get enough of you when you don't want to be bothered and then they suddenly lose all interest when cooperation is requested?
mary - thanks!!
high desert diva - thank you, Siren is quite proud of his shadow :)
jan - that caninent is like a mirror tunnel - there are such deep reflections
glad you like them - I have to try more
Linda - I know! I know! the cat union called me and gave me a strict warning!!
paz - thanks and happy new year to you too
lisa b - I kept telling Siren we could go on Letterman together but he was not impressed ;)
pagan - he does look sphinx like :)
he loves the glass table top when the sun is all over it - his own spa
raven - I have a few more when he did put his paw out and then of course - he was yawning and thumping his tail - I'll post them during the week - I want to edit them a bit
Ur funny, Diane? Did she make it? Seems, she's not interested?
But, I do enjoy ur funny shots.
Cheers!
These are great Dianne..Love the cat shadow...
Love the kitteh-in-shadow. I hadn't thought of teaching my cats jazz hands, then again they might get carried away, you know how demanding they can be. '~)
cool cat shadows!
Really nice, sharp shadows! Siren makes the perfect model.
richie's - I'm glad you enjoy them, thanks :)
Siren is not the best student lol
rambling - thanks!! :)
PJ - true - next thing we know they'll be demanding dressing rooms and agents - actually I think they already agents ;)
ice pony goddess - thanks!!
bobbie - thanks - Si likes the sun so much that it's one of the few times when I'm sure he'll stay in one place :)
Love your cat shadows! Very cool indeed!
You have lovely china!
A Regal shot indeed - looks like a hieroglyph shadow for sure!
What great pictures..Cats make me laugh, they have a mind of their own and nothing will change it..Happy SSS
Hi!
Wonder photos!!! Too bad he wouldn't play!! That would have been a great photo!! Thanks for stopping by my place. Have a great day!!
Sherrie
Cats just give the best cameo appearances and totally unconcerned...ha!
I like all of your 'S' shots. I bet Siren was doing jazz hands the minute you turned your back. If you're quick enough you'll catch the performance for another SSS. Or maybe not. Cats are sneaky! Fun shots!
your EG - thanks :)
the china belongs to my DIL - she and her Mom are addicted to Lenox :)
summer kitchen - thanks :)
Siren does think he's an ancient god :)
rosebud - I agree, they do whatever they want and give you odd looks if you try to direct them
splummer - he was too intent on keeping his spot in the sun :)
sweet - they do! lol
hey harriet - he'll never let me catch him, he's too quick for me ;)
Those came out awesome!
Is that anything like "Spirit Fingers"?
Naw, seriously... I can't imagine getting a cat to buy into that. A dog maybe, but not a cat.
great shadow shots Dianne! I especially like the last one - he looks so regally Egyptian!
definitely a very regal kitty! great SS!
superb!
Great photos!
roger - thanks!! I have a few other versions I'm playing with for Creative Photo
mojo - can't hurt to try? lol
ali - thanks! I wonder if I could get him some modeling gigs? I'd like to retire :)
lily - thanks!!
magiceye - thank you so much :)
leon - I'm pleased that you like them :)
How fun! I can hardly wait to buy a new camera so I can participate sometime soon. My fav is 'jazz hands' today.
Hugs and blessings,
storyteller - I hope you get the camera of your dreams!
I first read your post that you were "posing" in both pictures, and I tried to find you in the first shot. I wondered where you were hiding for a while. What a pretty display in your china cabinet!
I know that body language with Siren in the first shadow shot with your "jazz hand." "Humans are strange." LOL
Have a great week!
Fantastic shots, Dianne. Cats make such perfect subjects in so many ways... well all critters do. And they need a fine photographer to capture it. Great job!
Ha!...Dianne...That Siren is even cute as a shadow!!
He looks so regal sitting there and looking at your outstretched hand!
A jazz hand, eh? He isn't moving a muscle!
Well he might cooperate more Dianne if you had "The Alley Cat Song" playing.
I am going to email it to you from You Tube.
Yes!!! for the sun pouring in!
Where is that Mia? Down the basement getting into stuff again?
Well see ya' tomorrow at Ruby Tuesday....love Terry
cherie - actually I sometimes do turn into a serving platter ;)
and yes! you're reading Siren spot on - he didn't know what to make of me.
hilary - coming from you that's such a great compliment, thanks.
terry - yes, Mia was down in the basement making trouble ;)
I love the Alley Cat Song!
Ha! Ha1 Ha! Dianne...
I agree with Richie....
Cheers!!!!!!!!!!!
Love Terry
I love the thought of siren refusing to do jazz hands, but just looking at you like you finally lost it. Apparently I used to look at my mum and dad just like that when I was a baby and they were crawling across the room trying to encourage me to get off my backside and actually move somewhere.
REally cute shadow shots. Must have been hard to get them but you did good.
terry - laughter is such a good thing :)
jackie - it was pretty funny. I love the image of your parents crawling around for baby Jackie ;)
dot - the shadow shots were a little tricky because I'm hopelessly inept with light and camera settings and I was using my 35mm - I refuse to give up film. But with my old eyes I can't always see the settings and with my glasses on I can't compose the shot. So I shot 2 rolls - 70 pics and then waited for the developer to send back the disc.
Heh, I think they were actually quite worried - I was a bit of a late bloomer in the moving around department, but it was down to pure laziness (40 years later some things never change).
jackie - lol!
funny thing - my son never crawled, he just got up and walked at 9 mos - years later he went thru a phase where he never wanted to move
