Ruby Tuesday: Toyland

I took these in December when I was Christmas shopping. The Macy's near me has a separate store for children and within that they have an F.A.O. Schwarz outlet.

Go by RUBY TUESDAY for more reds.

And good news - the dogs I mentioned in the Camera Critters post have a home!!

I remember FAO Schwarz...haven't been in a toy store in ages, but this one brings back memories. Great bursts of red you captured!

Those are lots of fun! My daughter would adore FAO Schwarz. I would have a terrible time getting her to leave.

Great pictures. Nutcrackers are my favorite.

linda - I try to be a kid whenever I can - one more reason to look forward to the grandkid, I can use him/her as the excuse :)

rambling - the one in Manhattan is amazing, I've been wanting to go back there for a long time

melli - they had a whole Madeline section - more dolls and books and accessories - I love her too and was already making a mental note for the grandkid to be :)

ivon - I like nutcrackers too - I have very old one - from my Russia, it was my grandmothers - I bring it out each Christmas

I remember so well "visiting" FAO Schwarz like a museum, the temple of toys.
At this time, my children were too young, they were remained in Paris. What egoist parents we were when I think about it, going for our own pleasure at FAO S !
Yes, Dianne, we brought them some toys-souvenirs... (I wrote "egoist", not awful parents : )

A much bigger bear with that red gift bag of smaller bears. A classic bruin pose in a classic retailer. The perfect RT, for me, anyway!

Hi Dianne, this is a happy RT!
I hope you had a Happy RT as well.
I'll take the pink hound. My dog, Adi the Beagle, would like the brown one better.
I've been to one F.A.O.Sch, it was in Las Vegas. I'm thinking on the higher floors of Ceasar's Palace. Our granddaughter was with us and we did not escape without spending money.
..
BTW, thirty-six is a long time, it was my second try. First was 13.
