Sepia Scenes: The Tree
I love the shape of this tree, it reminds me of an old soul, bent but not broken. And I love how it hangs over the walk, I get such a kick out of watching people try to skirt around it or under it. That makes the tree even more endearing to me - it is holding its ground and demanding respect.

I'd love to see some other angles of this tree... is it possible?
Get low to the ground, and position the tree so it's in the right of the frame... so you can't see any of the other one. Maybe even try a portrait orientation. I think if you angle up towards the sky, the bend might be more prominant... just a thought.
I love your story about the tree. It rises up old memories. There was a similar tree near my junior high school... Best wishes :)

there was a tree outside the window of my middle school that I remeber so fondly - it brushed against the windows and sounded like it was whispering

Actually, this tree could charge a toll as it crosses the road and lowers like the barrier of the old toll booths on the Garden State Parkway...

Pine trees can become very expressive from battling with the elements. I love the enlargement.
