Sepia Scenes/Window Views: Grand Old Building

This building is in the same town as the Ice Cream Parlour featured in the post below. Madison, NJ is about an hour north of me. I was there for an appointment and of course I had the camera with me.

The street was very busy since it was lunch time and one of the corners was closed for landscaping so it was hard to get all the angles I wanted but I did my best to convey a sense of the structure.

The angels are glorious, the peaks on this building a bit closer to heaven. Hence, angels alight upon the beautiful and grand old building. A lovely take!

Definately "old world" looking. Architects were so much more creative in the older buildings.

I agree with Arkansas Patti...I was thinking Europe when I saw this impressive edifice.

It works well in sepia.

Gargoyles are scary, don't ya think?

Love the curvature of the building. And the different windows, especially the narrow windows in the gables!

What a neat building! I wonder what it's used for. I love the sky too, especially in the first picture. I can't tell what kind of creature is on the building. Gargoyle perhaps?

Very cool! I love how the structure is curved. I love having my camera with me no matter where I go.
If you'd like to stop by my blog I'm at Cake Crumbs.

I think you did well getting the angle. But darn those other people who think they have as much right to be on the roads and sidewalks! What ARE they thinking? I totally empathize with you. ;-)

What a magnificent series. Perfect for sepia. I wish I had a setting for it on my wimpy software. You're inspiring me!

Great job, Luv!

The top half of most of the windows have an elegant design on them and the building's dormers are very pretty. I bet this building is fairly old.

What a marvelous building, Dianne! A church, a city building? Probably a condo, right? Great sepia toning, Dianne! :)
