Shadow Shots: Last Days of Summer

This shot was taken last week. It was one of the last perfect days of summer.

The afternoon shadows were long
The flowers were blooming
The grass was green
and the trees were full

What a pretty picture! I love the shadows. The flowers are so pretty adorning the green grass. I'm surprised that there isn't someone sitting on the bench enjoying the afternoon. The sky with the puffy clouds makes this picture perfect!

Lovely LONG shadow view with those fluffy clouds in the background marking the end of summer. I enjoy taking photos of benches wherever I go too ;--)

I shared Plumeria shadows at Happily Retired Gal and 'doggy shadows' at Small Reflections this week.
Hugs and blessings,

Looks like a perfect place to sit and watch the world go by.

I noticed that more old folks sit on park benches in Europe, than in my neck of the U.S., anyway. This is by no means a scientific study, though. Just an observation. One of my many sort of random ones, alas. :-)

Love ya,
Gina

There have been some beautiful days of late - haven't there? Such a great picture...we may have to just have a seat and people watch for a while!

We're having some perfect last days also here in Seattle USA. It's marvellous and you've captured the feeling.

Not only that but you have a NEAT BENCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love the style of it. If a board gets worn out, they can easily replace it. I bet Malyss would love to see it. I think I will link it from my bench blog. . . so she can come by and see it too when she returns from vacation with her hubby.

Hi Dianne
Thanks for your comment on my 9-11 post. It is nice to meet a former Brooklynite! I'm glad you enjoyed my Brooklyn posts --I write about it often --always soemething going on! :-)

This is a lovely shadow shot! The end of summer means such long shadows doesn't it?

Nice shot. We have some perfect Fall days ahead so I won't miss the hot summer!

That bench looks like it should have a geocache hidden underneath it.

What a beautiful picture of a "picture perfect" summer day!

Nice photo of a beautiful afternoon. Looks like it's near the water here. The shadows are getting longer now, that's for sure.

I saw an interesting shadow earlier this morning on the wall and thought of this meme. But now it's gone, and I didn't snap a picture. Next time.

Can I sit down there? Too bad the bench isn't facing those pretty flowers. Looks like a comfortable town (is this NJ?)
