At first I thought perhaps the boat was upside down on the shore with its bright red hull showing. Interesting how the mind fills in the blanks when presented with too little information. Remind you of politics?? :)
The boat in coastal Jersey seems out of place, ready for jaunts out Raritan Bay into the Atlantic. In warm weather, however...
We probably shouldn't personify a boat, but I empathize. Snuggled up for the cold weather is the right approach for all of us, this beautiful boat included!
Brrrr... Too cold for boating now I'd guess. I hope they pull it out soon, cleaning barnacles in the freezing cold has got to be one of life's more miserable undertakings.
Boat with a red coat...I like that. I'd like to be the owner of that boat too.
LOL
Happy Tuesday....my Ruby entry is holiday--a continuation of one I did several weeks ago...it's finished now, and decorating our mantle!! come see HERE
Great photo series. Hope the red coat will protect the boat from the wintry rain and storms. By us small boats like this one sink every winter, filled up with water from above. The red coat looks solid though! From Felisol

I thought that what what it was...the third shot shows it best!

Neat shot, Dianne!
tee-hee :) It looks cute with its red coat, but I don't think it looks warm enough to last all winter. ;)
Really clever way you did this post, Dianne! Happy Ruby Tuesday! :)
After half a bottle of vodka I have no idea...
Love the pics though.
A boat with a coat.
You're a poet

You don't have snow either. It is raining so here in Finland and so dark days.
Red brings nice colour in your pic !
Interesting personification of the boat - one could easily substitute boy or bear, as though a live thing was hibernating.
What lovely and serene photos.
Great fun! I agree with Leora. I love how you personified the boat.
I hope the winter is not too harsh on 'him.' Or should i say 'her'?
Thanks for your kind comment about our kids.
Happy Ruby Tuesday!
Nice find - literally! The teasing glimpse through the trees is fun. And that rippled reflection just makes the photo.
A nice revelation!
Most wonderful series of shots!
Great photo series.

I really like the last one. You can even see the red reflected in the water! Nice blog, just in general.
I enjoyed the way you 'revealed' this ruby jacketed boat ;-)
Hugs and blessings,
even the boat is getting ready for cold
Oh, it's a boat. Great unfolding of the image. Love it.
I like your presentation, letting us see the boat and "coat" in the end.
Great RT shot.

Clever! You kept me wondering until I scrolled down to the last photo. Have a great week.
