Butterfly Boy

camera critters is right below

This boy was having a disagreement with his parents about which direction to take ...

I encountered them later at the gate to the farm we were all visiting. He told me he had been searching for "cloud flies" - otherwise known as white butterflies. I told him I had only seen one, I showed him the photo I had taken.

He assured me it was the same cloud fly he had seen.

HOw cute. I love how little people make their own names for things. This is absolutely adorable.

I love it! No one says it better than kids in their own unique way! Such a sweet, fun post for the day and I love the "cloud flies"! We have some here in Seattle and I see them frequently when I'm out on the deck. Hope you have a great day, Dianne!

We call them potato flies up here... I think they are so pretty but apparently they ravage the leaves of vegetables etc. I don't care, to me they are like little butterflies... I will say that I love them being called cloud flies.. I will remember that the next time I see one!

Kids really brighten the day don't they? I guess when they aren't trying to go in the opposite direction though...

My son was like that - whichever direction we wanted to take at the park, he was off and gone the other way. I hope this doesn't get duplicated in his teenage years...
