A tree grows in Brooklyn.(Sorry, I couldn't resist). I love the shadowy effects from those fire escapes. You got this one at the peak of light. Nice job!
Awesome! Those fires escapes make wonderful shadows. I just took a very similar shot of a brick building in LA! Haven't posted it yet though. Enjoy holiday weekend.
The dappled shadows of the escape add a look of sponge painting on the brick facade. Neat. I remember when we lived in Bayside (Queens) and I climbed out the fire escape, at perhaps age 8, to a lower level. I think I was spoken to by ma parents...the look of quality construction is all over this beautiful building located in the borough of Kings!
I am so enjoying the tour of Brooklyn -- it is another world for me (grew up in tiny podunk town in Eastern Washington State)...we've visited big cities, even New York! but living there is another thing and I am loving learning aboutit..

Like everyone else, I love how the fire escape created shadows - VERY cool! Love the texture of the brick too!
Don't ya just adore these old buildings we have here in the northeastern cities?
