In 1913, William Durant introduced The Chevrolet Bowtie.
Legend has it that Durant copied the bowtie design from the wallpaper in a Paris Hotel.
I took this shot from a old Chevy Pick-up parked in front of me and then played with it a bit to clarify the lines and colors and wash out the truck panel

How cool is that!!!!
Grrrrrrrreat shot, Dianne!
It actually looks like a ad graphic for Chevrolet!
X to you and the gang!
Such an iconic image and so ingrained in our minds that without reading a word we know what we're seeing.
Nice edit Dianne!

Great job! I did not know that about the emblem.
Nice effect! Love seeing a bright color in the cold winter, you must be thinking of warmer weather!
I never knew it originated from a bow tie. Interesting.
We always drove Chevys until 2000...then we got a Mazda and a Ford...and haven't had a Chevy since. My favorite Chevy was an orange Chevy Nova that we had with black racing stripes. That was one bad boy car. Loved it when my hubby would goose it and we'd squeal those tires. lol Those were the days!
i had no idea, live and learn
Sharp and distinctive!
Love what you did with this. The chevy sign is so distinctive, isn't it?
Very distinctive!
Inspired by a bow tie. I never knew that. My step-dad is a great Chevy enthusiast. I wonder if he knows. Do I have the heart to break it to him. lol
Gosh!
I never knew the history of the Chevvy symbol!
Loved the story of your son and the yellow snow!
Cool work!!
I just learned something new as I didn't know it was a bowtie!
Huh! Hard to imagine that symbol meaning anything else.
lol, it took a while before I recognised it. :)
